Daylight adoption is one of the most energy-saving methods in electrical services. It is desired to introduce useful daylight into interior space since it can provide a plenty of benefits, including reduction of lighting power consumption, enhancements to visual environment, improvement of occupant satisfactory and potential increasing of human productivity. Among various methods of daylight delivery, applying appropriate surface reflectance is the most cost-effective choice because it needs not space occupying and complicated control strategy. The rise of surface reflectance does not represent an improvement of useful daylight as it might bring no significant impact to interior space or increase the risk of discomfort sunlight sometimes. This study aims to find out effects of modifying reflectance on different surfaces, in order to develop which surface reflectance has the most significant impact on useful daylight for a typical private office. |
